About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team at GS Construction. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate backhoe excavators, loaders, trenchers, and other heavy equipment to perform excavation, ditching, and material handling tasks.
  • Conduct Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment requiring attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Language: English language proficiency.
