About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Holland Motor Hotel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Plan and coordinate the cleaning schedule to ensure that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify any maintenance or cleaning issues and take corrective action to resolve them.
  • Prepare Budgets and Estimates: Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure that we are operating within our means.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and engineering, to ensure that cleaning and maintenance activities are coordinated and effective.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for the cleaning staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Supervision and Support

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 staff members and providing them with the support and guidance they need to perform their duties effectively.

Support for Diverse Groups
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching to staff members from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Networking Opportunities: Provide opportunities for staff members to network and build relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
