About the Opportunity

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising and development team, you will play a critical role in securing philanthropic support from our mid-level donor community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging donors, volunteers, and hospital staff to build relationships and secure funding for OSMH's priorities. You will work closely with our Director of Campaigns & Major Gifts to develop and implement strategies to grow our donor base and increase fundraising revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and grow our mid-level donor community
  • Build relationships with donors, volunteers, and hospital staff to secure funding for OSMH's priorities
  • Work closely with the Director of Campaigns & Major Gifts to develop and implement fundraising strategies
  • Collaborate with the fundraising and development team to achieve fundraising goals
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to donors, volunteers, and hospital staff
Requirements
  • University or college degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of fundraising and development experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proven track record of success in securing funding and growing donor relationships
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
