**Job Summary:
The Epilepsy Nurse Practitioner RN(NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. This position will provide advanced nursing support and navigate continuity of care for patients with epilepsy, including medically refractory epilepsy requiring epilepsy surgery.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing support and continuity of care for patients with epilepsy
- Navigate complex care plans for patients with medically refractory epilepsy requiring epilepsy surgery
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with epilepsy
- Provide education and support to patients and families on epilepsy management and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
**Requirements:
- Master's degree in Advanced Registered Nursing
- Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP)) licensure
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in Acute Neurology
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a primary health setting
- Experience in advanced nursing support for patients with seizure disorders
**Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in epilepsy care and management
- Knowledge of epilepsy treatment options and medications
- Experience with patient education and support
