Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Flight Test Engineer to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our Flight Test Engineering Team, you will be responsible for planning and executing flight tests on production and experimental aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure safe and efficient flight testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safe flight operations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, pilots, and other team members.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (P. Eng.)
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, including flight test engineering
  • Master's degree in engineering or aviation, or Test Pilot School graduate
  • Excellent knowledge of civil/commercial aircraft certification Part 25 requirements
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and their operation
  • Private or commercial pilot's license
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project & Access)
  • Self-motivated and excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to remote locations for short and extended periods
