Canada Finance Director

Join Argenx as a key member of our Canadian management team and take on the challenge of leading our financial operations in Canada.
About the RoleThe Canada Finance Lead will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and support to our Canadian business. This role will lead the financial planning process, focusing on value creation and aligning resources with strategic priorities. You will work closely with our accounting and tax functions to deliver statutory accounts, regulatory, and tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Provide timely and relevant financial analyses to enable strategic decisions, including commercial finance support for demand forecasting, payer contract review, pricing, revenue recognition, and gross-to-net.
- Prepare the Canadian annual operating plan and latest estimates, refining global revenue models to capture Canadian market drivers, guiding business on prioritization of investments, and operating expense planning.
- Internal Controls: Work with the Director of Accounting and Internal Control Manager to review, update, and document business processes and financial policies to ensure operational and SOX controls support the group's internal control framework.
- Tax: Support the Argenx Global Tax team and North America Lead with tax areas, including direct, indirect, transfer pricing, excise, and federal and provincial tax audits and income tax provisions.
- Distribution and Order to Cash: Oversight of 3PL Warehouse, customer service, demand, and revenue recognition, including KPI development, tracking, and performance of vendor distribution services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Economics.
- Relevant working experience as a Director FP&A.
- Minimum of 7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience within the biotech or pharma industry.
