Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant/Technician to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new and refill prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform data entry tasks, including dosage calculations and prescription processing
  • Package prescriptions, including product selection, counting/measuring, and labeling
  • Prepare blister packs and compounds, adhering to quality and safety standards
  • Adjudicate and sell prescription and non-prescription products using our pharmacy software and point of sale systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients in person and over the telephone
  • Order and receive pharmacy inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain the over-the-counter department, including facing, stocking, cleaning, pricing, and checking expiries
  • Perform administrative duties, such as inventory counts, processing invoices, and filing
  • Clean and maintain the pharmacy area, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying waste containers

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Effective decision-making skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to problem-solve
  • Highly motivated and results-driven individual
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends
