The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager, this role is responsible for interpreting demand forecasts, purchase orders, and production preparations. The successful candidate will assist with inventory management, turnover improvements, and coordinating logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Orders: Initiate purchase orders on a regular basis to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Production Planning: Plan and purchase materials for production to meet customer demands.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with partners to manage shipments and custom clearance, ensuring accurate documentation and record entries.
  • Reporting: Generate standardized reports to assist the sales team in identifying opportunities to improve inventory turns.
  • Communication: Meet with sales and marketing teams to share insights and maintain communication with vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as business, supply chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Sage or D365 experience considered an asset but not a requirement.
  • Experience with data analysis and purchasing.

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about how processes work and suggests improvements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong and consistent attention to detail.
