Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Development Specialist to join our team. As a Field Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing a highly skilled and competent technical workforce that meets Enercare's business objectives and reinforces our values and beliefs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs to support the achievement of various core performance metrics, including reducing repeat calls, reducing multiple truck rolls, and improving install quality.
  • Coach and train field employees to improve their technical abilities and communication skills.
  • Develop and cascade field reporting, including regional repeat call and multiple truck roll reporting, to support business decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and deliver technical and sales training to the required standard, within budget and on schedule.
  • Act as a mentor for apprentices and review and update their core competency tracker.
  • Develop and promote best practices for the field, including technical and non-technical procedures.
  • Partner with technical trainers, technical support, quality assurance, health and safety, marketing, and operational line management to identify training requirements.
  • Attend patch, OHS&E, and field manager meetings to communicate trends and weaknesses.
  • Participate in TSSA incident investigations as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice, and procedures.
  • Conduct daily site visits and document site visit results.
  • Audit field service and install work to ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Gas Fitter 1 or 2 license and 313D or A certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Detailed knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice, and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of HVAC equipment and requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous HVAC field experience.
  • Sound knowledge of human performance, adult learning principles, organizational development, instructional systems design, and research techniques.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Results-oriented and able to achieve high levels of individual and team performance.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and provide feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve.
  • Ability to effectively use various computer information and communication systems.
  • Committed to promoting technical excellence and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to travel.
