Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and effective project execution;
- Oversee project outcomes and foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, management, regulatory bodies, and clients;
- Maintain meticulous records, demonstrating strong organizational capabilities, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in the online permitting systems and report submission processes of Alberta Environment and Parks, Alberta Energy Regulator, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans;
- Knowledgeable in the application of the Public Lands Act, Water Act, Federal Fisheries Act, Species at Risk Act, Alberta Wetland Policy, and related regulations and codes;
- Familiar with contemporary best management practices and regulatory standards for environmental permitting and reporting;
- Field experience in water and fish-related compliance and assessments, as well as construction methodologies;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, a commitment to quality and safety, a customer service orientation, and exceptional attention to detail with prioritization skills;
- A University Degree or technical diploma in natural resources, complemented by environmental law coursework and a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.
