About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Labourer to join our team at Lake Country Co-op. As a Carpenter/Labourer, you will assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction of residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings
- Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas
- Erect and dismantle forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades
- Operate and maintain various power tools
- Remove rubble and other debris at job sites
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and asset protection
Requirements:
- Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety)
- Eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Physical fitness, willingness to learn, and drive to excel in the position
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Willingness to obtain required safety tickets
