Role Summary:

The Project Director for the Nuclear Island or Conventional Island will be a pivotal figure within our Alliance contract framework, reporting directly to the Project Director - New Build. This role is integral to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases of a multi-billion-dollar nuclear power plant project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a diverse project team, ensuring alignment with AtkinsRéalis core values: Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, and Innovation.
  • Strategically plan and execute the EPC scope for the Nuclear Island or Conventional Island.
  • Oversee all project aspects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual obligations.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes and deliverables in line with strategic objectives.
  • Manage contract negotiations, including scope changes and subcontractor governance.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear and industrial safety standards and corporate safety programs.
  • Implement key performance indicators to monitor project health and performance.
  • Maintain ethical compliance and security protocols throughout project activities.
  • Oversee procurement and subcontract management, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Apply project controls methodologies for effective planning, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Conduct thorough risk analyses in accordance with industry best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering services projects.
