Job Overview

  • Lead the oversight of Design Service Providers (DSPs) during various project phases to ensure high-quality design modifications for successful installation, commissioning, and AFS.
  • Review, accept, and process all design deliverables, including those associated with procurement, installation, commissioning, AFS, and close-out activities.
  • Attend project and design interface routine meetings, review project presentation materials, and participate in PMOC and senior work management meetings.
  • Collaborate with the DSP to ensure compliance with OPG's Engineering Change Control process, including N-PROC-MP-0090, Engineering Change Control Process, and N-GUID-00700-10000, Engineering Change Control Guide To Management Expectation.
  • Verify that engineering deliverables meet applicable codes and standards, ensuring safe and cost-effective products.
  • Monitor and improve DSP performance to reduce OPGN interface time and save costs.
  • Develop a good professional relationship with the DSP to provide continual value-added services.
  • Ensure stakeholders' expectations are satisfactorily met.
  • Prior experience in handling large infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Perform design engineer duties, preparing modification packages and verifying them in-house.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in overseeing infrastructure/building projects.
  • Professional Engineering designation in Ontario.
  • University Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Qualified to OPG QUAL 45233 or 33685, preferred.
