Job Summary

Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is seeking a skilled anesthesiologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality anesthesia services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing general surgery, ENT, gynecology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, urology, and ophthalmology procedures
  • Manage pediatric and obstetrical cases, including pre-admission clinic consultations and sedation in the endoscopy suite
  • Provide support for difficult cases in the emergency department and participate in anesthesia procedure clinic for chronic pain management
  • Participate in strategic planning and program development of anesthesia-related services
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and safety activities related to anesthesia care
Requirements
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license
  • GP Anaesthesia training provided by a recognized Canadian university program
  • Open to recent graduates, with preference given to candidates with experience
