Job Title: School Vice-Principal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Vice-Principal to join our team at School District No. 73 (Kamloops/Thompson). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of our schools, ensuring a high-quality education for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate teaching methods and quality of instruction to ensure academic excellence.
  • Develop and administer programs for student and adult education, training, and development.
  • Oversee the activities of teachers and support staff, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Co-ordinate teaching activities, including lesson planning and curriculum development.
  • Direct and co-ordinate school maintenance, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Prepare and administer institution or program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Review programs to ensure conformance to school board or provincial standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Provincial teacher's certificate.
  • 5 years or more of experience in education leadership or administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
