Senior Technology Specialist, Data Developer

Job Summary:The Senior Technology Specialist, Data Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud data warehouse systems infrastructure. This includes end-to-end solutions, operations, and support of the company's enterprise cloud-hosted data solutions. The successful candidate will actively participate in cloud data infrastructure and business system projects, including forecasting, management, and execution of related cloud platform activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement cloud data warehouse systems infrastructure, including end-to-end solutions, operations, and support of the company's enterprise cloud-hosted data solutions.
- Participate in cloud data infrastructure and business system projects, including forecasting, management, and execution of related cloud platform activities.
- Continuously create and improve business value through process improvement and automation, capacity planning, demand management, system operations, and solution innovation.
- Provide critical support response to cloud-hosted data infrastructure or business system incidents (including highly critical, performance impacting) and problems.
- Three (3) to five (5) or more years of experience in IT, with at least three (3) years in a cloud-based platform engineering role.
- Expertise and proficiency in building and maintaining cloud-hosted technologies, business systems, and web services platforms, including experience/exposure to:
- Knowledge or experience with scripting/automation is a strong asset.
- Familiarity or experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Containers and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services).
- Certifications in AZ-900, DP-900. AZ-400 or DP-203 are an asset.
- Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack – network, storage, server, and applications.
- ITIL Certification is an asset.
- Experience with IaC with ARM templates and biceps.
- Java, Python, Spark, PowerShell, C#/.NET, Bash.
- Experience with planning, scheduling and executing production deployments for web applications including supporting artifacts such as Database Schema migrations as well as orchestration through CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
