Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide healthcare professionals and decision-makers with precise, unbiased, and timely responses to inquiries regarding bladder cancer.
  2. Cultivate scientific and clinical partnerships with key opinion leaders and academic institutions to enhance research and educational initiatives in Uro-Oncology.
  3. Support clinical studies from protocol and budget formulation to submission and completion for Phase IV and Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs).
  4. Deliver ongoing scientific support and training for sales teams and Corporate Account Managers (CAMs).
  5. Document and relay reports of adverse events to the appropriate channels.
  6. Stay informed about medical and scientific advancements in the designated therapeutic area.
  7. Proactively communicate competitive activities and events that may impact product utilization.
  8. Design and present scientific and educational programs, including formulary presentations for managed care organizations.
  9. Collaborate with Medical Affairs and agency personnel in creating presentations and slide materials.
  10. Actively engage in advisory boards, speaker training sessions, clinical investigator meetings, and relevant regional, national, and international conferences.
  11. Assist in managing requests for medical education funding from the field.
  12. Participate in key medical and scientific conferences by staffing information booths, gathering competitive intelligence, and attending scientific sessions.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctorate degree (D.V.M., M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D.) in biological sciences.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
  3. Experience in Uro-oncology, Urology, or Oncology as a practicing MSL is essential.
  4. Ability to apply technical knowledge and solutions to diverse situations.
  5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  6. Familiarity with FDA and OIG regulations, as well as clinical trial design and statistics.
  7. Strong teamwork capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with various colleagues.
  8. Networking proficiency and confidence in engaging with senior experts on a peer-to-peer basis.
  9. Strong analytical skills for critical data evaluation.
  10. Commitment to staying current with scientific literature.
  11. High emotional intelligence to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  12. Serve as a primary field medical contact for the organization.

Physical Requirements:

  1. This is a field-based role requiring a willingness to travel 60% or more of the time.

Compensation and Benefits Overview:

At Ferring, base salary is one component of our competitive total compensation and benefits package, determined within a salary range. The base salary range for this position is $142,500 to $185,000, representing a reasonable estimate of the base compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and work location. Additional compensation will be available based on annual incentive targets linked to individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential based on base salary; a 401k plan with company matching; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain educational expenses; sick leave; vacation time accruing between 112.5 and 150 hours annually in the first four years, with additional accruals starting in the fifth year; and 12 to 13 paid holidays each year. We proudly offer 26 weeks of paid parental leave.
