Job Summary

As a Medical Support Assistant at Vitalité Health Network, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to the nursing unit. This is a permanent part-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as an administrative support program of over one year and up to two years in length or the equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the nursing unit, including tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
  • Assist with medical terminology training and ensure compliance with confidentiality rules.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other software programs used within the Network.
  • Ensure good work history, performance, and attendance.
  • Adhere to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), plus an administrative support program of over one year and up to two years in length or the equivalent.
  • Medical terminology training or completion of training within set deadlines.
  • One year of previous experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other software programs used within the Network.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work.
  • Good work history (performance and attendance).
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values.
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
