Job Title: Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and installing door and gate motor operators and controls, focusing on quality, safety, and superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical installation services for a variety of overhead door and driveway gate systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems, providing solutions and carrying out required work.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs and service to overhead doors and driveway gate systems.
  • Coordinate with the service scheduler on problem-solving and communicating required parts.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, including construction project managers, other trades, and safety personnel.
  • Assist other technicians with installation and service as required.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in an electrical trade or hold an Interprovincial Red Seal/Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
  • Experience in a service/installation industry considered an asset.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, Standard First Aid).
  • Experience servicing/installing overhead doors is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.
