Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Runnymede Healthcare Centre. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for operationalizing and coordinating the procurement, inventory, and supply chain management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Contract Management
    • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the best possible prices and services for the hospital.
    • Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and government guidelines.
    • Conduct open competitive bidding initiatives to ensure fair and transparent procurement practices.
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to avoid stock shortages and overstocking.
    • Develop and implement inventory management workflows to optimize supply chain efficiency.
    • Manage daily and weekly supplies for all departments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate ordering.
  • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Liaise with the CFO and Manager, Finance to ensure compliance with hospital policies, government guidelines, and best business practices.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
    • Develop and implement strategies to streamline and improve supply chain transactions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Logistics) or equivalency in education and recent/related logistics experience.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of direct work experience in a logistics or supply chain function.
    • Healthcare logistics experience preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven experience in inventory management and contract negotiation.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain leading practices.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
