Position Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure a consistent and high-quality standard of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and bathrooms, in alignment with Raffles standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and direct all activities of housekeeping staff.
  2. Guarantee that all guest villas, both occupied and newly arrived, are cleaned and inspected to meet the highest standards of cleanliness and brand compliance.
  3. Ensure that villas are stocked with the necessary amenities and supplies.
  4. Conduct daily checks of pantries and colleague buggies to maintain set standards.
  5. Timely report any landscaping or maintenance issues related to villas.
  6. Facilitate departmental training sessions as per the established schedule to meet monthly training requirements.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas.
  8. Replenish guest supplies as needed.
  9. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
  10. Ensure timely delivery of laundry as per the specified return times.
  11. Perform daily inspections of show villas.
  12. Conduct regular room checklists and inspect all vacant, not reserved, OOS, and OOO rooms daily.
  13. Report any damage or malfunctions in hotel rooms using the Property Management System.
  14. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and functional state.
  15. Keep a detailed section floor report.
  16. Hold daily briefings with staff at the floor level.
  17. Report any unusual behavior or activities on floors to the Housekeeping In Charge or Director of Housekeeping.
  18. Regularly check the Trust You report and communicate findings with team members.
  19. Accurately record room status in the assigned section.
  20. Adhere to the hotel's health, safety, and hygiene policies.
  21. Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  22. Understand the distinctions in guest levels (VIP) and room categories.

Qualifications

A degree from a recognized School for Tourism & Hotel Management is preferred.
