Cloud Software Engineer

Guidewire Software is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based software applications using 12-factor app methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud-based software applications using Java, Golang, NodeJS, and Python.
  • Engineer quality, scalability, availability, and security into cloud-based software applications.
  • Protect cloud-based software applications with automated testing.
  • Deploy containerized applications to AWS through Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
  • Collaborate with highly skilled team members, operations team, product managers, and architects to write code, mentor, and build infrastructure and software that matters.
Requirements:
  • Software development skills in one or more of the following frameworks and languages: Java, Golang, NodeJS, Python.
  • Container technologies: Docker, Linux debugging.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a demeanor emphasizing team wins over individual success.
  • Comfort working in an agile, social, and fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
  • Advocate of cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Mesos, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, AWS, GCP, Azure, Serverless).
  • Prior experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Bash programming skills.
  • BS/MS degree (Computer Science or Math) or equivalent level of proven professional proficiency.
