Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal ICU Transition Line. This is an exciting opportunity to consolidate your skills and gain experience in a specialty nursing unit.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU Transition Line, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill newborns and their families. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to assess, plan, and implement nursing care that meets the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from a variety of sources to inform nursing care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Completion of the applicable post graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses/program
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
