Job Title: Claims Examiner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Examiner to join our team. As a Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for reviewing and examining claims to ensure they are paid under the respective policy and within the contracted timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and examine claims to ensure they are paid under the respective policy and within the contracted timeframes.
  • Conduct research using policies/flipcharts to provide additional information needed to adjudicate claims.
  • Enter notes into the computer system/databases as required.
  • Facilitate stop payment requests and process reissues accordingly.
  • Place outbound calls to customers or providers to obtain information required to adjudicate a claim.
  • Create and send various types of professional correspondence.
  • Respond to interdepartmental inquiries.
  • Respond to escalations in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education
  • Minimum of 6-12 months experience as a Claims Examiner or similar role.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and multitask.
  • Possess sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
  • Fluency in French is preferred.
