About the Opportunity

Cape Breton Regional Hospital, a leading healthcare institution in Nova Scotia, is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join its team. As a full-time Anesthesiologist, you will be part of a dynamic team of 7 Anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and surrounding communities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in research and/or medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University, should they be interested. Our hospital is a 300-bed tertiary care institution providing a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Responsibilities
  • As an Anesthesiologist, you will provide full scope of practice care to patients within the Eastern Zone and participate in call.
  • You will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for your professional responsibilities and quality of practice, operating within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Qualifications
  • You must be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
  • You must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • You must have membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
