Senior Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assurance Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a wide range of review, compilation, and tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Partners and the Assurance team to plan, execute, and complete engagements
- Support, mentor, and train a team of professionals during field assignments
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations procedures
- Review account reconciliations and adjusting entries
- Review personal and corporate tax returns
- Review financial statements and related note disclosures
- Consult with clients on business and tax planning needs
- Provide exceptional client service and add value to clients through cross-team collaboration
- Coach and mentor assigned coachees for high performance and professional growth
- Develop and facilitate ongoing training opportunities for the Assurance team
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent field
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Assurance within a professional services firm
- Demonstrated success providing top-notch client service
- Strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment
- Curiosity and attention to detail
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Quickbooks Online, and Sage Accounting is an asset
- Technological strength with MS Office 365, especially in Microsoft Excel
