The Role
As a key member of the Maple Leaf Foods Maintenance team, the individual will oversee lubrication schedules related to production machinery and facility infrastructure essential for daily operations. Additionally, they will uphold safe plant functionality and a secure working atmosphere for all personnel.Key Responsibilities:
Engage in proactive maintenance routines, emphasizing a predictive maintenance philosophy in a continuous operation environment. Diagnose and implement corrective maintenance actions as required. Execute documented work requests and apply necessary corrective measures. Complete assigned work orders while managing inventory and labor through a computerized maintenance management system (SAP). Interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and drawings. Fabricate and machine components as needed for equipment repairs and enhancements. Perform welding tasks for equipment or component repairs. Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, and Health & Safety standards in all job-related operations. Adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Policies.What We Offer:

Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Certification with substantial field experience (3 years or more preferred). Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Extensive knowledge of plant and process equipment operations. Ability to perform planned and scheduled tasks with minimal oversight. Strong teamwork capabilities. Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Possession of a complete set of personal/professional hand tools. Familiarity with the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and related technologies, including precision tools and testing equipment. Basic understanding of industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations with a strong commitment to safety practices. An Ontario Electrical license or Refrigeration 'B' License is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Basic computer proficiency. Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required.About Maple Leaf Foods:
