Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community setting. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients with various diagnoses and injuries, providing support in the community, both at home and in the workplace, to help them return to their previous level of function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and other interventions to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Work with clients to support their successful and sustainable return to work through onsite functional and cognitive functional work capacity assessments, as well as functional and cognitive job coaching.
  • Conduct mental health interventions, including exposure therapy and strategies to re-integrate clients into the community and meaningful daily activities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive treatment plan for clients.
Requirements
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work is an asset.
  • Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, workplaces, and/or in the community.
  • Passion about the profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excellent client care.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy, and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
