Position Overview

Role Summary

The Maintenance and Repair team at Emterra Group is expanding. We are seeking dedicated and collaborative professionals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diverse maintenance tasks, including greasing and replacing bearings, tracking and lacing conveyor belts, and operating power tools such as drills and cutting torches.
  • Conduct filter changes, troubleshoot issues, and repair primary and secondary grinders and screens.
  • Maintain cleanliness by cleaning under conveyor belts, OCC separators, and glass breaker screens.
  • Navigate touchscreens for optical sorters, container lines, fiber lines, and glass plants.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Keep the work area organized and free of safety hazards.
  • Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
  • Engage in heavy lifting and pulling as required.
  • Complete necessary training courses, including forklift operation, fall protection, and confined space entry.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in maintenance and repair is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong attendance record is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Capacity to stand and work in bent positions for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull weights of 50 lbs or more.
  • Post-secondary education in mechanical technology is an asset.
