Position Overview
Under the supervision of the eCommerce Digital Content Manager, the E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist collaborates closely with the merchandising teams to implement online merchandising initiatives. This role is crucial in meeting article onboarding targets within the designated category and aiding the Online Merchant's strategic objectives by contributing to various projects, including online product selection, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and vendor collaboration. The E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist plays a key role in providing centralized data support to Online Merchants and identifying opportunities for process improvements effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve operational service level agreements (SLAs) and metrics, such as article onboarding timelines and SKU availability rates. Collaborate with relevant offshore partners and store support teams to prioritize tasks and uphold standards for article onboarding.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring all necessary agreements and requirements are fulfilled for online product listings.
- Assist in website upgrades and address online merchandising system challenges by troubleshooting issues, identifying areas for enhancement, and testing new features as they are rolled out.
- Work alongside the Online Merchant, Online Assortment Planning, and Data teams to identify assortment gaps and provide recommendations for improvements in collaboration with merchandising teams.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for seasonal events, supporting reports, briefs, and strategies. Participate in planning sessions to address opportunities and conduct post-event reviews for insights.
- In collaboration with leadership, merchandising teams, and cross-functional partners, drive sustainable process improvements that can be applied across the business.
- Coordinate with retail and online merchandising stakeholders to compile assortment lists for seasonal or promotional initiatives.
- Assist the team in updating training resources and identifying opportunities to enhance value for both the team and cross-functional business partners.
Required Experience and Knowledge: - Internal candidates must meet minimum tenure requirements and performance standards.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail, eCommerce, merchandising, or a project management role within a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Access, and Tableau, along with intermediate to advanced skills in other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity for investigation.
- Ability to learn rapidly and work independently.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
