Role Overview: As a Financial Accountant within our Assurance & Accounting division, you will be part of a diverse group of professionals committed to addressing clients' unique requirements in a fast-paced business and financial reporting landscape. Your role as a trusted advisor will involve delivering comprehensive and tailored financial insights that empower clients to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities- Execute compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements.
- Establish files for new clients and newly formed businesses; manage multiple engagements concurrently and conduct inventory assessments.
- Facilitate accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset transactions, and payroll processes with clients.
- Summarize clients' financial positions by gathering data and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other pertinent reports.
- Evaluate the adequacy of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses.
- Investigate and rectify discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Develop charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting.
- Draft correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations that outline engagement findings and highlights.
- Collaborate with the client engagement team and cultivate relationships with client contacts.
- Maintain the flexibility to travel as required.
- Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance.
- Currently enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.
