About the RoleTried & True Builders Ltd is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Instruct apprentices and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
- Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors
- Valid driver's license and own transportation
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety vest
