About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Assistant to join our team at Coquitlam Upholstery Shop Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our experienced upholsterers in the repair and restoration of furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Check and weigh materials and products to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Packaging and Shipping: Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products for efficient transportation.
  • Support Services: Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers in the workshop.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Industry Experience
  • Furniture upholstery and repair shops
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work.
  • Manual Dexterity: Requires attention to detail and manual dexterity.
