Job Overview:
The Building Caretaker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas of the residential building, as well as providing exceptional customer service to residents.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, including hallways, amenity rooms, and lobby.
- Perform daily inspections of the property to identify and address any maintenance or cleaning issues.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are in good working order and properly stored.
- Assist with scheduling move-ins and move-outs, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
- Ensure that all common areas are free of clutter and debris, and that all storage rooms and mechanical rooms are properly maintained.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as spills or equipment malfunctions, in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and cleaning activities, including logs of resident complaints and violations.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in industrial, commercial, or hotel cleaning is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with residents and colleagues.
- Solid computer skills, including the ability to schedule bookings online and provide professional communication.
- Good customer service skills, with a positive attitude and energy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to clean and monitor the property, including stairs, hallways, and exterior areas, with lots of walking.
- Ability to conduct 4 hours of continuous cleaning-related duties and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work in different environmental conditions, including wind, heat, cold, and rain.
