**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Financial Manager to join our corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the finance team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Support in managing interim and year-end audits.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
- Provide support in ministry reporting.
- Implement and monitor internal controls as well as overall processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process, reporting, and system improvements.
- Other ad hoc projects.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
- Experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience with full cycle accounting.
- An in-depth understanding of the senior care continuum.
- Understanding of accounting and tax requirements for Canadian senior housing companies, including an in-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
