Deployment Specialist

Job Summary

Intellex Systems is seeking a highly skilled Deployment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Windows enterprise desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement standardized desktop images to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Develop and implement patch management and application deployment strategies to maintain a secure and up-to-date desktop environment.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure Active Directory Group Policy design and network and security configuration meet the organization's needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in desktop engineering or a related field, with a strong background in supporting large-scale endpoints in a 24x7 operating environment.
  • A recognized bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills

  • SCCM administration and patching experience.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining standardized Windows images.
  • Windows application packaging and task sequences, Windows Installer, MSI, and MSIX.
  • Microsoft SQL scripting, queries, and reporting expertise.
  • PowerShell scripting.
  • Managing Microsoft Updates with SCCM (Patch Tuesday).
  • Windows 10/11 technical experience.
  • Experience managing Microsoft AppLocker policies.
  • Experience with Active Directory Group Policy design, configuration, and management.
  • Desktop and laptop computer configuration, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Desired Configuration Management (DCM) experience.
  • Experience working within Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in computer support (Tier 2).
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting, Ethernet, and IP configuration.
  • Experience with Lenovo desktops and notebooks.
  • Experience with Panasonic Ruggedized Toughbooks for field workers.
