Process Champion

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Champion to join our Quality and Process Team at the Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of process improvements across our Canadian gypsum drywall plants.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and prioritize opportunities for cost savings and CO2 emissions reduction through process improvements.
- Collaborate with Global Process experts to drive process improvement programs and evaluate technologies that enhance plant capabilities.
- Work with R&D, Purchasing, and Plant teams to trial and qualify new or improved raw materials.
- Support the implementation of capital projects related to productivity, cost, quality, or energy-efficiency improvement.
- Provide process assistance to plants to resolve production and quality issues.
- Conduct technical training to plant employees with a technical, process, or quality function.
- Compile and benchmark best practices to share information between plants.
- Master's degree in general engineering, chemical, or process engineering, or a related field.
- Industrial work experience in technical, R&D, or manufacturing areas.
- Experience with World Class Manufacturing methods and tools.
- Project management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Analytical skills with quality and process test results, savings calculation, etc.
- Leadership and motivational skills to drive change.
- Excellent teamworking, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English and French.
- Previous experience in gypsum manufacturing is a plus.
- Previous experience with Industry 4.0, data science (Python), and data analytics (PowerBI) is a plus.
You will be part of a dynamic team of 5 engineers, working under the supervision of Olivia, the Quality and Process Senior Manager. As a Process Champion, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various departments, including R&D, Product Management, Purchasing, and Engineering.
