About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Scotiabank's Digital Banking Unit as a Business Systems Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in championing a customer-focused culture and deepening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Bridge between Parties: Be the bridge between multiple parties, including our business, control functions, technology partners, and engineering teams, responsible for delivering exciting products.
  • Operations Excellence: Help scale, enable, and drive online & mobile development excellence as our team continues to deliver innovative solutions to Scotia customers.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Effective Operations: Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
  • Problem-Solving and Improvement: Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Complex Business Processes: Supports one or more highly complex business processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with strong experience in requirement gathering and documentation creation.
  • Agile Scrum Experience: 5+ years' Agile Scrum experience, with demonstrated understanding of Agile concepts, agile estimations, and ceremonies.
  • Technical Skills: 3+ hands-on experience with architectural diagrams, 3+ years of experience with microapps and Microservices architecture, and 5+ years' combined experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS office suite, or equivalent tools.
  • Financial Software Development: Financial software development organization experience is a nice to have.
  • Facilitating Onboarding: Experience facilitating onboarding processes.
  • JavaScript: Experience with JavaScript.
