Job Summary

Valard Construction LP, a leading powerline contractor, is seeking a qualified Apprentice Powerline Technician to join our team. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects in the Greater Toronto area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems
  • Operate various pieces of equipment, including bucket trucks, RBDs, trucks, and trailers
  • Participate in distribution line work, with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Develop skills in live line training and rubber glove experience

Requirements

  • Qualified 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Powerline Technicians
  • DZ license minimum, with preference given to AZ license
  • First aid/CPR training
  • Working at Heights Ontario Training
  • Familiarity with operating various equipment and tools
  • Safety-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work extended shifts and travel as required
