Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in accordance with the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the policies of Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in emergency situations.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and provide patient and family education.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform triage and manage patient flow in the emergency setting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency nursing practices and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in Emergency or step-down units is required.
- Certification in triage, CTAS, ACLS, and PALS is mandatory.
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications such as TNCC, ETLS, ENPC, or NRP.
- Proven ability to handle emergency situations with composure.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to ongoing education in emergency nursing.
- Ability to take on leadership roles as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, is required.
Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
