Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to assess, plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care to patients in an emergency setting.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, collecting information from various sources, and making nursing diagnoses to determine the best course of action.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with patients and their families/caregivers to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery, including coordinating nursing care, setting priorities, and delegating tasks to support staff.
- Provide education and support to patients and families/caregivers on health promotion, illness prevention, and health maintenance.
- Document patient assessments, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes according to practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in emergency nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
