About the Role

FV Flooring Ltd. is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all flooring installations are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Installation Tasks
    • Measure and prepare flooring plans and scheduling to ensure efficient installation.
    • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Installation Tasks
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process.
    • Prepare and install hardwood floors, including measuring, cutting, and fitting.
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Post-Installation Tasks
    • Estimate costs and materials for future installations.
    • Prepare floors for installations, including removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation.
    • Physical Demands
      • Physically demanding role requiring handling of heavy loads.
    • Personal Suitability
      • Efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
      • Judgement and organized approach to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Work Environment
      • 40 hours per week, permanent position.
      • Work language: English.
