We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bike Park Trail Crew Member to join our team at Vail Resorts. As a key member of our trail maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our bike park trails.
Key Responsibilities:- Trail Maintenance: Inspect trails for signs of erosion, damage, or other hazards, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as clearing debris, repairing trail surfaces, and trimming vegetation to ensure trails are safe and accessible.
- Trail Construction and Development: Assist in the design and construction of new trails and features, including berms, jumps, drops, and technical features, using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed.
- Safety and Risk Management: Identify potential safety hazards on trails and take proactive measures to mitigate risks, ensuring all trail features and structures meet industry safety standards and are regularly inspected for structural integrity.
- Environmental Stewardship: Demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship by practicing Leave No Trace principles, minimizing disruption to wildlife habitats, and preserving the natural beauty of the park.
- Experience with trail maintenance, construction, and mountain biking.
- Knowledge of trail design principles, safety standards, and environmental sustainability.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Physical fitness to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
