We are currently seeking a Linux Engineer to contribute to the maintenance of the firm's intricate infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and guarantee the optimal performance of our production environment. This role offers a variety of tasks and the chance to engage in different projects throughout the organization.

Global Trading Systems (GTS) is a consortium of financial services firms that encompass a broad spectrum of asset classes and investment strategies, all driven by a blend of market knowledge and innovative, proprietary technology. Originating as a quantitative trading firm focused on future advancements, the GTS family of companies leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems and advanced pricing models to deliver consistency, efficiency, and transparency in today’s financial markets. GTS's electronic market-making entity, GTS Securities, represents a significant portion of daily cash equities volume in the U.S. and is a prominent Designated Market Maker (DMM) at the New York Stock Exchange, managing nearly $13 trillion in market capitalization.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in Linux system administration.
  • Familiarity with RedHat-based Linux distributions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols and concepts, including IP/TCP/UDP, NAT, DNS, NFS, and similar systems.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting Linux and application issues, with a demonstrated ability to identify root causes of complex problems.
  • Proficient in UNIX utilities and scripting (Python, shell, etc.), with experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of automation, configuration management, and monitoring using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies from AWS, GCP, or Azure, and tools related to building and operating cloud-based applications. Experience with containerization technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services or low-latency environments is advantageous.
  • Windows server administration skills are a plus.
