Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at 4325445 NOVA SCOTIA LIMITED. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the timely completion of tax returns.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
- Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
- Accounting Systems: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Work Setting: Urban area.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, organized, reliability, and time management.
