About the Role

Concert Properties, a leading Canadian real estate developer, is seeking a seasoned Corporate Communications Manager to join its team. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, this key role will play a critical part in supporting corporate communications goals, managing the company's online presence, and leading specific corporate communications and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Communications

  • Provide strategic support for public and media relations, communications planning, and implementation.
  • Lead the development and execution of communications plans for corporate initiatives and events.
  • Manage the company's website, ensuring it is up-to-date, secure, and stable.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to engage with stakeholders and promote the company's brand.
  • Create and oversee media content, including coordinating with external PR agencies.
  • Monitor media and social media, reposting and responding as required.
  • Evaluate social media metrics to ensure effectiveness and provide recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.

Internal Communications

  • Lead the development and implementation of internal communications strategies.
  • Manage internal channels, including Viva Engage.
  • Develop and maintain corporate image and video capture, editing, and storage.

Corporate Marketing

  • Support the creation of corporate marketing collateral, including print and digital materials.
  • Develop and implement corporate marketing strategies.
  • Lead industry award submissions.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure corporate brand and style guidelines are met and maintained.
  • Provide input on annual budgets.
  • Support the broader Sales & Marketing department as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • At least six years of communication experience.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Expertise with social media platforms and management tools.
  • Excellent image and video capture and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of Drupal, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and SEO.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
