Job Title: Community Service Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Service Worker to join our team at NEXUS Community Support Society.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and services to individuals and families in need, promoting their well-being and independence. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide education and support to clients, focusing on education and experience requirements.
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary certifications, licenses, and courses.
  • Transport clients as needed, ensuring a valid driver's license is held.
  • Support clients in accessing health benefits, including dental, disability, and vision care.
  • Assist clients in understanding financial benefits and pension plans.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
