We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at RhynoCare. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Stoney Creek area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home.
- Manage resident transfers and discharges in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics and follow established protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and a negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight (8) or twelve (12) hours in length.
- Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
