We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Leader to join our team at York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of educators to provide high-quality education to students.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of educators to provide high-quality education to students
- Develop and implement educational programs and initiatives to improve student outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
- Provide coaching and mentoring to educators to improve their instructional practices
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and community members to build relationships and promote student success
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in educational leadership or teaching
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes and educational programs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience working in a northern or remote community
- Knowledge of Inuktitut language and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (Inuit Societal Values)
- Experience with Balanced Literacy and ESL instruction
- Skills in using education-related information technology, such as SMART Board Applications
