Role Overview
As a Plant Care Specialist, you will be responsible for the upkeep of various plant displays and arrangements. Your daily tasks will involve visiting multiple client locations to ensure the health and appearance of the plants. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and a genuine interest in plant care.
- Maintain plant displays and air purification systems
- Conduct regular site visits according to a predetermined schedule
- Drive a service vehicle safely in both urban and rural areas
- Allocate up to 50% of your working hours to driving
- Perform essential plant care tasks including watering, pruning, and fertilizing
- Utilize trained techniques to manage watering based on light conditions and plant needs
- Ensure optimal light conditions and proper plant orientation
- Keep plants and display containers clean and free from debris
- Monitor and prevent plant diseases and pest infestations
- Maintain the aesthetic quality of decorative elements
- Occasionally work from ladders to service taller plants
- Protect surrounding areas from water damage during maintenance
- Service scenting and air purification equipment as required
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients
- Build rapport with clients to address their needs and concerns
- Identify opportunities for additional services to enhance client satisfaction
- Complete electronic service reports to document maintenance activities
- Assist with plant installations and decorations for special occasions
- Safely handle materials and equipment during installations
- Participate in holiday decoration setups and takedowns as needed
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in plant care is advantageous
- Experience in client interactions is preferred
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record
- Able to safely use ladders and work at heights
- Familiarity with gardening tools and equipment
